Its ancestry is 50% from the stress resilient Painted Mountain Corn, which has been bred to 4 indigenous desert Concho corns from 8,000' mountains of New Mexico. Dave infused the desert ancestry in anticipation of the escalating global heating and droughts which are already destroying hundreds of acres of conventional corn.

A nutrient dense super food. The blue pigment is anthocyanin. Anthocyanins are anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging. They boost the immune system and are good for your microbiome, gut health, and the healing of damaged cells.

At this time about 25% of the kernels have blue germs, a rare trait which we increase every year. I don't think anyone else has ever bred for this. This boosts the antioxidants through the roof.

Plants are similar to its Painted Mountain ancestor.
