Seed We Need®

High nutrition food for a changing planet.

Purpose

To give the world the hardiest corns in existence, as the easiest to grow large grain food staple, to help people prepare for climate change.

“Food is medicine.” The protein is higher than you can find anywhere else, with significant advancement in essential amino acids, and the highest level of anthocyanins (colors) in any grain for human health and healing. Anthocyanins are antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and anti-cancer.

Dave Christensen has been rescuing and breeding Native heirloom corns since 1962, now over 55 years. He has created 10 lines, 5 of which are advanced enough to be on the market.

The lines on the market

My oldest line of 55 years. A high protein grain corn that doubles as an ornamental corn with more rare, vibrant colors than any other ornamental corn.

12% protein (DM) · 99% cold germination

A soft starch blue flour corn for cornbread, tortillas, or any food purpose. Dave's best creation for global warming and drought.

14% protein (DM) · 99% cold germination

A hard starch blue flint food corn — our only hard starch line, for rainy climates where hard kernels resist moisture problems.

10% protein (DM) · 98% cold germination

“Black corn is for healing.” — Navajo elder. A nutrient dense, soft flour starch that is easy to grind and makes the best corn bread.

13% protein (DM) · High cold germination

Balanced protein builds muscle. A nutrient dense grain staple, fast maturing, strong-stalked, surviving both drought and cold stress.

12.6% protein (DM), superior amino acid quality · High cold germination

Blessings

We pray with love, and bless the corn when we work with it. Natives taught me this. And quantum physics shows that this transmits. This works!

May the corn seeds bless the soil they are planted in. And blessings to you!
